I've always examined design wherever it lies - from print to web, signage to environmental design. I enjoy analyzing why some designs are successful and others would have benefitted from a different approach. The problem solving and collaborative aspects of my field energizes my approach to work. I like a puzzle. And when you add content, shape, color, and maybe even movement -  it's good work for me. My background lies in educational book publishing, freelance design, and the photography industry. I worked more than 8 years for Houghton Mifflin Publishing, building highly regarded textbooks for grades K - 6.
